Obi to spend Christmas with IDPs

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, will spend Christmas with those in need at internally displaced person (IDP) camps in Ibaji and Idah, located in the ancestral headquarters of Igalaland.

Obi will be joined by other Catholics from Kogi State for the celebration, which is the first of its kind by a politician in the state.

In a statement issued by the Kogi State Chairman of the Labour Party, Ahmed Mohammed, it was noted that Obi is doing this “in the spirit of celebrating Christmas with the less privileged.”

The statement also encouraged “all patriots that are set out to rescue our dear country to stay motivated as we work together towards achieving a new Nigeria that our unborn children will be proud of.” The celebration will be held at St. Boniface Catholic Cathedral in Sabongari, and will be attended by Christian faithful from Idah.
